David Renaud is a writer on The Good Doctor.



David Renaud is a family doctor turned TV writer who gives new meaning to the term script doctor. After earning his M.D. from the University of British Columbia and completing his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Toronto, he spent several years practicing the art and science of medicine across two countries and four time zones, from the barren wilderness of the Canadian arctic to the beaches of Santa Monica. He earned an M.F.A. in screenwriting from UCLA and has written and directed several award-winning short films. He completed the 2015-16 Disney-ABC Writing Program and worked as a Staff Writer on Blood & Oil (ABC). Recently, he worked as a Staff Writer on Jason Katim's Pure Genius (CBS).[1]
