Dawn Williams is a patient who was treated by Dr. Audrey Lim, Dr. Shaun Murphy and Dr. Claire Browne.

Season 2[]
In "Stories" Dawn was rolled into the ER of San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital along with her husband Todd Williams. The three doctors think she has internal bleeding and wheels her into surgery as Todd is getting his hip relocated. During surgery, Dr. Claire Browne notices that one of her fallopian tubes are swollen and have ruptured, Dr. Audrey Lim cleans up the bleeding and stabilizes her. Post-Op, Todd is informed that she is doing well and unfortunately could not save the pregnancy, Todd is confused as he got a vasectomy right before their honeymoon, he demands to see her but Dr. Shaun Murphy and Claire stop him. During visiting hours, Todd comes into the room and asks her if she stepped out on them while she looks at the results that proves she is pregnant, she says she didn't step out on them and say the results are wrong, she then proceeds to tell Shaun and Claire that maybe one of Todd's swimmers got up.
Shaun comes in and checks on Dawn's vitals, she mentions she does love him, while Shaun was checking her pupils response to light she kisses him, he pulls away and she says she was just thanking him for saving her life. In the ICU Lim and Claire are talking about their patient when Shaun comes up to them saying Todd's sperm count is zero, Shaun then asks the both of them if he has to tell her husband she kissed him on the lips her thanking him for saving her life, Lim says she saved her life too and asks where her kiss is, Claire says it isn't funny and if the genders were switched they would be having a serious conversation, Lim asks Shaun if he wants to file a complaint, he says he'll think about it when Lim tells him for now he should keep the kiss to himself. Todd is informed that his results were zero and rushes into Dawn's room and asks her if she's gonna leave him too not that he really cares anymore, she says that the lab had screwed up and Todd adds that the bank screwed up too and it's all just a big conspiracy, he says their medical insurance got cancelled and started making some calls, he says they have $400 left in savings, checkings empty, the retirement account drained, she says it must be identity theft and lost her debit card months ago, Todd tells her to look into his eyes and tell him he didn't cheat and take the money, she looks at him and is scared, he's shocked and she apologizes she says she couldn't stop and help herself, Todd leaves the room and she sobs. Shaun asks why asks Dawn why she married Todd and she says he's the best thing that has ever come into her life and couldn't imagine living without him, Shaun then asks why she kissed him and while she is explaining she was interrupted by a muscle spasm.
During imaging, they see that the brain is clean. They inform the patient with the results and say that she is just a liar, Shaun walks away with the tablet and Claire notices something, she asks the patient to draw a face of a clock and is drawn only haft way, they say that there definitely is a tumor and say they were just looking in the wrong place. When informing the patient that the second MRI has shown something different they confirm that the the tumor is in her chest and not in her brain, but produces protein that send to the brain that causes mental disorders. Dawn look at Todd but he can't look her in the eye. Shaun says he should kiss her and hug her since she will be having surgery that is dangerous. She says she's been donating the money to animal shelters and couldn't say no, Todd asks how many and she responds with 4. Todd is shocked and asks if she enjoyed it, she says at the time but as soon as it was over she immediately regretted it, Todd storms out of the room and Dawn begins to sob. Post-Op, Shaun checks her vitals and she asks if they got it, Shaun says they did, he asks her if she would like to kiss him, she says maybe a little but she's not going to, Shaun says it's a very good sign. Todd comes into the room to see her and holds her hand.
