EMT #1 is an unnamed emergency medical technician at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital.

Biography[]

Season 1[]

After Dr. Shaun Murphy stabilized Adam's condition, who was injured at an airport, they were taken to the hospital by an ambulance. On their way to the hospital, Shaun tells an unnamed emergency medical technician that they need to go to St. Bonaventure. EMT replies that that's where they are going. Adam's parents, Bonnie and Carl hold hands, which reminds Shaun of his childhood; how his parents fought because of his autism, and how his dad killed his pet rabbit. Suddenly, Shaun says that the boy's ECG changed. EMT reassures him that it's the same, 86 BPM. Shaun argues that amplitude, therefore, voltage has decreased. Adam's parents are confused and ask EMT what Shaun is talking about. EMT, who doesn't take Shaun's observation seriously, tells them that he's trying to read 20-year-old equipment while traveling in a vehicle going 40 miles an hour.

When they arrive at the hospital, the EMTs burst through the entry doors with the unconscious boy and his parents and are met by Claire. Shaun struggles to keep up as they move. EMT tells Claire about Adam's age and condition. Shaun keeps telling them that they need an echocardiogram. Claire asks who he is, to which EMT replies that he helped with first-aid at the airport.[1]
