Dr. Marina Blaize is a doctor who works for St. Bonaventure Hospital. She was rehired at the hospital as one of Dr. Aaron Glassman's last acts as president of the hospital despite being fired previously. This was done because Dr. Glassman was diagnosed with brain cancer and he wanted her to perform his surgery.

Season 2[]
Throughout season 2, Blaize treats Glassman for his cancer, often becoming frustrated with his behavior. However, the cancer treatment is successful and in "Breakdown" Blaize declares Glassman cancer-free after receiving his final test results. In thanks, Glassman gives her a personal gift that leaves Blaize emotional. Blaize suggests that Glassman's ordeal has changed him for the better, pointing out that before his cancer he never would've thought to give her such a gift.
