Mia Wuellner is the ex-wife of Alex Park and the mother of Kellan Park.
History[]
Season 2[]
Season 3[]
In "Debts," Park tells the team that his first date with Mia consisted of going to a Coyotes game where Mia got hit by a puck after four minutes and required 17 stitches. Despite the disaster of their first date, they got married eight months later. Though they got divorced, Park states that it was worth it.
In "Moonshot," Park tells Shaun that he flies out every other weekend to Phoenix to be with Mia and Kellan. He also uses the story of how he and Mia's apparently irrevocable split was ended when she came out after the quarantine to try to convince a dying patient to call her ex-husband.
In "Incomplete," Park asks Melendez for a restaurant recommendation for a date as Mia is in town.
In "Sex and Death," after Park displays a knowledge of the arts and the Reznick family in particular, Claire asks if Mia has him going to galleries now. Park admits that she does and he's kind of loving it.
In "Fixation," Park calls Mia after he discovers that Kellan has been having panic attacks for awhile. Park tells Kellan that Mia revealed that their son has been withdrawn and the two had discussed finding a therapist for Kellan in Phoenix. Though things are currently "unsettled" between Park and Mia, Kellan states that this is not the reason for his behavior but he refuses to elaborate.
In "I Love You," following an earthquake and losing a patient who reminds Park of his relationship with Kellan, an emotional Park calls Mia and tells her that he is going to move back to be closer to his family. Park then has Mia give the phone to Kellan so that he can talk to his son.
Season 4[]
In "Not the Same," after acting strangely, Park admits to Morgan that he just finalized his divorce with Mia. Morgan's surprised as she'd thought them to be divorced for years, but he explains that they hadn't wanted to formalize a custody arrangement for Kellan who is now 18, making that no longer a problem. Though Park knows his and Mia's relationship has truly been over for a long time despite them trying again, he's still hurting.
Trivia[]
- Mia's current status in her relationship to Park is unclear. While they are back together, Park consistently refers to Mia as his wife in season 3 even though they were divorced. Its unclear if they have remarried or Park simply doesn't call her his ex-wife anymore since they are back together again.
- Its revealed in "Not the Same" that they had never actually finalized their divorce and were actually still legally married.
- In real life, Jennifer Birmingham Lee (Mia Wuellner) and Will Yun Lee (Alex Park) are married; they have one child.[1]
