"Unconditional" is the ninth episode of Season 7 of The Good Doctor. It is the hundred-and-twenty-fifth episode overall, and aired on May 14, 2024.

Synopsis

Dr. Claire Browne returns from her work in Guatemala for a personal medical examination. Elsewhere, Dr. Glassman struggles to manage Hannah, who remains unresponsive to his attempts to help. Park seeks out the perfect last-minute wedding location.

• Claire and Jared are reunited for the first time since "Hello" in Season 2.
  • The two show signs of a continuing attraction to each other culminating in them kissing and planning to spend the night together before Claire's collapse.
• Claire is confirmed to have taken the Chief of Surgery job at the hospital in Guatemala that she was mentioned to be considering taking in "The Lea Show" and she has overhauled the hospital for the better.
  • She is also shown to have become fluent in Spanish, a skill that Claire was lacking before she moved to Guatemala, although Claire states that she's far from perfect at it.
• Jared mentions that he and Jordan decided to just be friends and that Jordan and Daniel Perez have been texting every day since Asher's death.
  • Jordan had previously mentioned in "Baby, Baby, Baby" that she and Danny had decided to stop talking for the time being as Danny focused on his recovery back at home.
• Claire is diagnosed with Stage 1A breast cancer and is apparently successfully treated.
• While talking to Hannah, Shaun identifies himself as Glassman's son, although not biologically.
• Park and Morgan get married at the bar where they had their first official date. Lim officiates while Jordan and Dom sing for them.
• Glassman reveals that his cancer has returned and that it's terminal this time.
  • This was previously hinted at in "Faith" when Glassman received some bad news regarding some imaging that he had done.
• Claire suddenly passes out after not feeling well.
• Morgan and Park are only a few days away from officially adopting Eden.
• Shaun and Claire's first meeting in "Burnt Food", Claire's mother Breeze's death in "Claire" and Shaun's concerns with Glassman over his ministroke in "A Beautiful Day" are brought up.
• This is the last apperance of Hannah.
